2017 NFL Free Agent Predictions

Kevin Zeitler, OG
Jacksonville Jaguars – The best player available in free agency just turned 27 and is entering the prime of his career. Jacksonville has the money and the desperate fan base to give the team the best opportunity to win. That starts with keeping Blake Bortles upright.

Alshon Jeffery, WR
Tennessee Titans – The Titans have the need at wide receiver and Alshon has the want to be one of the highest paid receivers in the league. He’s definitely tired of hanging around Jay Cutler.

Calais Campbell, DT
Oakland Raiders – The former Arizona Cardinal signs a pretty huge contract to come to a team on the cusp of being a legitimate Super Bowl contender. He has the leadership and playmaking ability to play all over the defensive line in Oakland/ Las Vegas.

TJ Lang, OG
Indianapolis Colts
– Andrew Luck needs to be protected and now that the worst, and my favorite, GM Ryan Grigson was fired; this team may start making smart moves.

AJ Bouye, CB
Carolina Panthers – The jury still isn’t fully out on Bouye but he has shown some fantastic flashes of greatness. He fits the Panthers defense and the need is clearly there.

Terrelle Pryor, WR
Los Angeles Rams – The Rams need playmakers over 6’1 and the 6’4 Pryor is about to cash in big. Secretly I think the Rams may be garnering the former Buckeye to beat out the incumbent Jared Goff as the starting quarterback…

Dont’a Hightower, ILB
Chicago Bears – I could see Buffalo pursuing Hightower hard to try and hinder a divisional opponent. Also, going back to New England is a possibility but John Fox wants to build up this Chicago defense and try to emulate what he had in Denver.

Larry Warford, OG
Detroit Lions – Matthew Stafford needs to keep getting better each year and a huge part of last year’s success was the offensive line play. Warford helps shore that up.

Tony Jefferson, SS
Jacksonville Jaguars – With so few choices of quality strong safeties, it’s hard to see a team like the Jags not going hard after one. Watching Jonathan Cyprien play the last few years was tough as he was such a liability in the pass game. Insert Jefferson and let that secondary flourish.

Logan Ryan, CB
Tennessee Titans – Ryan, the former Rutgers Scarlet Knight comes to the Volunteer State to join his former college friend, Devin McCourty.

Barry Church, SS
Cleveland Browns – The Browns need talent and will overpay for it. The Cleveland defense is actually trending upward. A strong safety will help shore up that secondary.

Adrian Peterson, RB
Oakland Raiders – The Raiders still have the money and would love an opportunity to have a future Hall of Famer on their team. This signing would make Al Davis proud.

Brandon Marshall, WR
New England Patriots – Is there a more Bill Belichick signing that this? Marshall will come out with a fire under his ass. He could be looking to sign a lower end deal to get back to playing for a winning team.

Stephon Gilmore, CB
San Francisco 49ers – Outside of Eric Reid, this 49er secondary needs some help. Gilmore could definitely be out there looking to get paid and it helps that John Lynch is a fan of defensive backs.

Dontari Poe, NT
San Francisco 49ers – Imagine a defensive line with Arik Armstead, DeForest Buckner and Poe. That’s over 20 feet and 900 pounds of combined height and weight.

Nick Perry, OLB
Indianapolis Colts – Pass rushing is one of the main keys to victory in this sport. The Colts need help in that area and Perry can offer it.

Micah Hyde, S/CB
Green Bay Packers – The Packers need too much help in the secondary to let their best defensive back leave. Sign him and draft some more help.

Johnathan Hankins, NT
Denver Broncos – The Broncos starting nose tackle is a free agent. Insert a better and younger player at that position and this defense continues to get better.

Morris Claiborne, CB
Cleveland Browns – The Dog Pound is all about statistical analytics now. Claiborne actually had some good games for Dallas before getting injured. Could be a nice buy low project.

Barry Church, SS
Tampa Bay Buccaneers – The Bucs could be without both their starting safeties from last year but they have plenty of money to throw around at this position.

Russell Okung, OT
Seattle Seahawks – Okung makes his long awaited return back to the team that drafted him. Seattle needs the offensive line help and will take it in anyway they can get it as long as they can get it at a discount.

Ronald Leary, OG
Miami Dolphins – The Dallas Cowboys offensive line is so great that a very good guard is on his way out. The Dolphins now have a hole at guard with Branden Albert being traded away and Laremy Tunsil moving to left tackle.

Jonathan Cyprien, SS
Tennessee Titans – The Titans have seen Cyprien enough to find a way to utilize him through a 3-4 defense. This may be the best way to use him, as he was less than successful in pass coverage for the Jaguars.

Prince Amukamara, CB
Green Bay Packers – The Packers desperately need corner help. They usually don’t address anything through free agency but Ted Thompson needs to do something to that ailing defense.

Brandon Williams, DT
New Orleans Saints – The Saints need defensive help. When haven’t we heard that one before?

JC Tretter, C/G
New York Jets – Wit the release of their longstanding center, Nick Mangold, the Jets are in need of offensive line help. JC Tretter had some good and bad times in Green Bay but he would definitely be a quality and versatile piece in New York.

Dre Kirkpatrick, CB
New Orleans Saints – Saints need more defensive help…

Chris Baker, DT
Cincinnati Bengals – A new nose tackle is needed in orange and black. Domata Peko has seemingly been in the league for forever (11 years is a long time) and he could possibly be brought back but I feel as though Chris Baker would be a welcomed addition.

DeSean Jackson, WR
Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Mike Evans would love to see less double coverage. While Jackson is 30 years old, he still has that true burner speed that can open up the field. Jameis Winston and the entire offense would love that.

Nick Mangold, C
Minnesota Vikings – A match made in heaven as Mangold finds a new start in a new city.
